The cause of my moped ๐ต having to go in and get work for it shutting off when I went to drive it even though it started fine was the valves were clogged. So they had to take out my motor and adjust and clean them. Then put my motor back in. If I had a different style of moped they wouldn't have had to mess with my motor to adjust my valves, but that's OK. My spark plug I got on a year or two is still good. They also gave me a free oil ๐ข change (it was due) so I thanked them for that (that saved me $30). The cost to fix it was $90, so not bad.
I have to get my rear clutch worked on soon from the sounds of things it's going to start giving me issues like the original one did a few months after I first got my moped ๐ต did.
So instead of just getting a new belt and roller wheels ๐ done at some point this year I have to get the rear clutch done again, and was going to have them do the front one at the same time if it needs it since that hasn't been done yet. Just to be on the safe side. That's going to be $160 to $200.
Then I have to get the back tire ๐ changed as well because of it wearing out. That is going to be $82 to $95.
Depending on where I got to get the service done I'm able to get my gear โ๏ธ oil ๐ข done for free. So that's nice because that will save me the cost of an oil ๐ข change.
So, now I have to save up $242 dollars ๐ธ or $295 dollars so that I can get it all done โ๏ธ at once and not have to make multiple trips to get the work done and be without my moped ๐ต longer.
I did also stop to get my left brake adjusted and my idle adjusted today because the brake was a bit loose and the idle was a bit low. But now they are both perfect.
My next oil ๐ข change will be at 6,437 miles ๐
But I'm sooo excited my moped is back home ๐ก with me again ๐ฅฐ I missed it and I do my best to take good care of it โค๏ธ๐ฅฐ
