Afraid and in pain and confused about my upcoming GI doctor about on 11/9/15

I see my new GI doctor on the 9th of November and I'm afraid if they press on my stomach I'm going to scream and what their reaction will be at that point :/ Has that happened to anyone and if so what happened? What did the doctor do? Did they make you an appointment for an colonoscopy/endoscopy ASAP or did they send you to the hospital and admit you, right away???
